Why should I need a Fubar3 DAC + Headphone Amp?
|
Less noise, far better sound quality, frequency range and dynamics. That’s why !
Now you can deliver Hi Fidelity music direct to you home stereo, PLUS the fact that you have a headphone amplifier that is capable of driving your headphones the way is should be done.
Fubar3 is a so called external DAC system PLUS headphone amplifier. Basically you can see it as a Fubar2 + Cute Beyond, packed in 1 convenient package. The Abbreviation “DAC” stands for Digital to Analog Converter. Your computer sound card also has a DAC in stalled and that’s why you can plug in speaker and headphones on you PC, being analog devises. Unfortunately the most sound card electronics are cheap quality and packed dense on the printed circuit board of your soundcard. Also the sound card is located in the most electrical noisy environment possible, your pc cabinet, where EMC is raging around coming from the processor, power supply and various cooling fans that are present. These figures are not doing any good your sound quality. The real audiophiles change to expensive external DAC systems to get a HUGE improvement of sound quality. The Fubar3 is such a so called external DAC system, using the USB bus for digital transfer.
With the Fubar3, you will make a dramatic sound improvement, when compared to your sound card. Just plug the USB cable form the Fubar3 in your PC and the PC will automatically recognize an external DAC system, without any necessary software or drivers. This will work with Windows 98 and up, and with Apple MAC and Linux.
No… you will not have any problem when you use Vista, be sure of that !
The USB bidirectional protocol has error correction and buffering on both ends and makes sure the data on your disc is exactly the same as the Fubar is receiving from the PC. Since the USB interface is asynchronous, clocking issues with SPDIF and CD-players are gone, resulting in very low jitter.
The hype of using a PC as a so called music server, is getting more and more popular, because also the audiophiles do hate it to pick and place a CD and put in a player every time again. Storing Terra bytes of music in loss-less format on the hard drive is the solution and let you search and select the music you want to hear in a fraction of time and start playing by just pressing a button. Terra byte storage is getting affordable. USB or Ethernet hard drives are now available at low cost and freeware like Windows media player, Apple Itunes, Media Monkey and others, are making it a piece of cake to create a playback server.
People are trying to find ways to get Hifi quality out of their system. They want sound, that can be compared with their old so long beloved normal audio systems. Now they can approach, achieve or even go beyond that sound quality, using external DAC systems.
The Fubar3 is such a external DAC system, offering great value for money + and integrated headphone amplifier that can even drive the bigger audiophile can's like Sennheiser, AKG, Grado, Beierdynamic and others.
